Hello fantastic SNIP users! I’ve got some exciting news to share with you today. As you may have noticed, my beloved WordPress plugin, SNIP, which generates structured data for SEO, has been going through some growing pains lately. And to be honest, I never expected to have so many amazing customers like you, which has been both a blessing and a challenge.

As my user base has grown, my website and the underlying API have become increasingly sluggish. I’ve also had a few hiccups with a nasty bug that has caused the site to be down more often than I’d like over the past few months. I’m very sorry for any inconvenience this has caused, and I want to reassure you that your structured data has always been safe as it is stored in your own WordPress database.

But it’s not all doom and gloom! I’m here to tell you that I’m committed to making SNIP better, faster and more reliable for all our users. In the coming days and weeks, I’ll be working hard to optimise the system and bring it up to speed. And guess what? I’ve already made some progress!

I’ve started by revamping the update mechanism, which is now outsourced to Cloudflare. This change will help improve overall performance and make your experience with SNIP smoother and more enjoyable. But that’s just the beginning! I’ll continue to look for ways to improve the efficiency and responsiveness of the plugin, so you can continue to focus on creating great content and using structured data to improve your site’s SEO.

I’d like to take a moment to apologise again for the problems I’ve experienced in the past and thank you for your patience and understanding. Your support means the world to me and I’m more determined than ever to deliver a first class product that meets your needs and exceeds your expectations.
