Since Google has switched its Rich Snippets Test Tool to a more modern Rich Results Test Tool, people do see a lot more “Page not eligible for rich results known by this test” errors. This pages tries to explain what the error is and how to fix it.
New vs. Old Test Tool
Although the new Test Tool does exist for a while now I do not have a lot of experiences with it. This is because it has been not as good as the old Structured Data Test Tool. The latter one wasn’t as confusing as the new one. Plus: You could see all of your structured data not just the ones Google officially supports.
Anyway. The truth is that the old Test Tool does not longer be maintained. So we need to stick with the new one.
Page not eligible for rich results known by this test
So the question is: why do I get the “Page not eligible for rich results known by this test” error? And what can I do about it?
Unfortunately there is no quick fix because it’s different with every website. However the good thing is that Google gives you advises on what to do. You only need to click on the link that displays on the top left corner: “View Details”.
When you click on the link you see a notice on top of the page. In my case it shows “Page partially loaded”.
“Page partially loaded”
The “Details” table down below shows you exactly what’s wrong. Multiple resources could not be loaded or could not be crawled by Googlebot because it has been blocked.
So what you need to do in this case is to fix the warnings so that Google can crawl your site properly.
As you can see, these error messages have nothing to do with structured data in general. Its often a problem with your site.
