I get an error that the domain is bound to another host.

This error occurs because CodeCanyon only sells licences that are available for a single domain. If you try to install the plugin on more than one domain, you’ll get the following error on the second domain:

“It seems that this purchase code is tied to another host. Please buy a new license in order to use this plugin on another sites.”

or

It seems that this purchase code is tied to another host and/or IP address. A purchase code can only be linked to one domain at a time.

A) I’m getting this error while updating.

If you get this error while updating, please try the following:

  1. Login-in to your WordPress Dashboard
  2. Go to snip -> Settings.
  3. Click the “Clear Cache” button.
  4. Go to snip -> Activation.
  5. Click the big blue “Let’s get started” button again.
  6. If you get an error here, please read B).
  7. Then go back to Dashboard -> Updates.
  8. Click the grey “Check again” button.
  9. If you still get an error, please read B).

B) I don’t use it on other domains

If you don’t think you’re using the domain on another host, please visit this page and disconnect your purchase code from any old domain it may be associated with.
If you’re not already logged in, please do so by clicking the green “Login with Envato” button on the login screen.

C) I want to move to another domain

Of course, it’s also possible. Just follow these steps:

C1) If you still have access to the old site:

  1. Log-in to the site where SNIP was originally activated (old site)
  2. Go to “snip / Structured Data” menu and click on “Support”.
  3. On the right hand side you’ll find a meta box with a button labelled “Deactivate licence on this site”. Press this button.
  4. The plugin will then deactivate and unregister itself.
  5. You will then be able to use the purchase code on the new site.

C2) If you can’t access the old site

Visit this page and disconnect your purchase code from any old domain it may be associated with.
If you’re not already logged in, please do so by clicking the green “Login with Envato” button on the login screen.

D) I changed webspace

If you have moved to a new web space and/or changed your web hosting provider, please follow step C. This is necessary because your IP address may have changed.
